Dr Vassiliki Bravis is a Consultant in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Internal Medicine at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at Imperial College London. She has served as Head of Specialty for Diabetes at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and is the Clinical Lead for Diabetic Foot Disease. She is also North West London Regional Lead for the implementations of TEAMeD-5, which aims to improve the outcomes of people with thyroid eye disease.
Dr Vassiliki Bravis qualified as a doctor from the universities of Cambridge and Imperial College London and completed her training and translational research at Hammersmith, Charing Cross and St Mary's Hospitals. In her current role, Dr Bravis practises as a full-time NHS Consultant at St Mary's Hospital and carries out translational research. She holds a level 4 Local CEA award at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians.
Her areas of expertise include Diabetes (Type 2, secondary, steroid-induced), cholesterol disorders, metabolic syndrome, cardiovascular risk reduction, diabetic foot disease (neuropathic ulcers) and Charcot arthropathy, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), disorders of the pituitary and adrenals, thyroid (Hashimoto, Grave's disease) and parathyroid diseases, reproductive disorders, menopause.
